Students at LPE use the enVision Math 2.0 curriculum by Pearson which has a strong focus on the conceptual understanding of math. Teachers and students strive to deepen students’ abilities to think mathematically through the connection of ideas. This way of teaching math has a strong focus on relationships, asking questions, persevering through challenges, and trying different approaches. Students engage in “productive struggles” through problem-based learning, as well as other hands-on activities that are personalized and differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
